Hi, my name is Gwen.
And, boy do I wish it was followed by “Stacey”. Unfortunately, it isn’t. Other than sharing a name with a comicbook-character, there are three things you need to know about me:
1. I am a geek girl. I may not always have been, I don’t do it cuz it is momentarily cool, and I am not as pretentious as saying I know all there is to know about comics, manga and anime, deviantART, TV series, films, books, consoles or role-playing games. I really don’t. But I love all that stuff, and more.
2. This blog is dedicated to others like me out there. The Felicia Day wannabes, the chicks with glasses who like reading, the compulsive gamers, the next-generation manga artists, or just the occasional random web-user who happens to end up here. I hope my posts will be helpful and entertaining to all of you. I’ll post about loads of things – film and book reviews, random knowledge about TV series and how many Buffy characters appear in them, artists I like, news related to any of the topics above, etc. Anything I can think of.
3. This is a work in progress. Over the next few weeks, the face of this blog will change and become more like what I’ve been imagining it to be for months now. So bear with me, excuse mistakes and please, PLEASE feel free to prove me wrong, approve or disapprove my posts, leave comments, start a discussion with me, whatever you like! I am not infallible, and I normally listen to reason. 😉
I hope you guys will like this blog. This is an outlet for all the things I ‘fangirl’ about. (Yes, I just made that a verb.) This is a safe zone, so do engage and be a fangirl with me. 🙂 The more the merrier!
